Rich has been an active trader in the global financial markets since 1985 and has had a long career in Finance in the areas of Fund Administration, Investment Management and Fund Compliance.

Rich works as a Strategy Ambassador for East Coast Capital Management which is a Diversified Systematic Trend Following Fund Manager operating from Sydney. He also is currently involved in the provision of education and content for traders and investors through ATS Trading Solutions which is a membership-based website and forum for active traders and investors seeking to adopt the practices and principles of diversified systematic trend following.

In his spare time, Rich engages with the trading and investing community as a speaker at conferences and a guest on prominent investment podcasts such as Michael Covel's Trend Following Radio, The Real Vision Podcast, and Jerry Parker's Trend Following Trading Community. He is also a regular co-host of the Systematic Investor Series on Top Traders Unplugged.

Rich's passion lies in empirically based systematic trading processes, particularly trend following strategies. He strongly believes in the power of objective data and quantitative analysis to guide investment decisions. Continuously driven to enhance his understanding of the markets, Rich dedicates significant time to research and refining his trading approaches.

Simon has over 20 years of experience in investment banking and the financial markets, including work on both the technology & trading side, with a Bachelors in Business (Economics & Finance) from QUT. He now trades his own capital at Quantive Alpha.

Initially working in the Risk Management environment, Simon was trained in the mathematics and modelling of market, credit and operational risks inherent in the trading environment. He has worked in various financial centres globally, including roles with the Sydney Futures Exchange, JPMorgan, the major Australian investment banks and so on.

Simon is passionate about what he calls 'evidence-based investing', where he can use his extensive technology and markets experience testing and modelling trading strategies, to create the most resilient and robust investment portfolios using quantitative algorithms, data-science, and a technology-based implementation. With a constant focus on research and development he is always looking to improve and refine the investment process.

When he's away from his desk, you will find him reading, surfing, rock-climbing or mountain-biking, and his favourite quote is the US Marines motto: "improvise, adapt, overcome"!
